SHEL’s sound is filled with infectious rhythms and hypnotic vocals that meld together their classical training and diverse influences – the result is mesmerizing. The sisters of SHEL were raised in Fort Collins, Colorado and have been performing as SHEL since they were teenagers. They are recognized for their stunning musicianship with Sarah on violin, guitar; Hannah on keys, synth bass; Eva on mandolin, guitar and Liza on drums, djembe and beatboxing featured on records produced by industry legend Brent Maher and their second LP was co-produced by Maher and Eurythmics co-founder, Dave Stewart.
Many of SHEL’s songs placed in Films and Television shows have been recorded and produced by Grammy winning engineer, Charles Yingling, including The Fosters to The Nicolas Sparks film, The Best of Me; and major brands including Chevy, Toys R Us, Amica, Glade and more. The TV show, Queen America (starring Catherine Zeta Jones), features SHEL’s songs as the score for all 10 Episodes highlighting SHEL’s unique vocalizations reworked with their scoring partner, Kevin Dailey. In addition, Hannah Holbrook and Kevin Dailey scored the film by snowboarding legend, Travis Rice, “The Fourth Phase” with SHEL’s “Fascination” used as the end credit and trailer.
