Hailing from the small town of Carrickfergus in Northern Ireland, Lee spent his formative years growing up under the dark cloud of the troubles. Musical inspiration was drawn from classic voices outside of the tensions in his homeland... Bill Withers, Marc Cohen, Tom Waits... Rogers’ voice and sound pulls from the vast well of timeless Americana, all the while underpinned by the authentic writings of his life and its surroundings.

In 2005 Rogers signed a recording and publishing deal with Paul & Nikki Turner’s Cambridge based label ‘Zenith Cafe’. This signing led to the recording of his official debut album ‘Drawing Clocks’. Recorded and produced in the Italian foothills under the watchful eye of renowned producer Marco Canepa, songs from the album went on to feature in TV shows such as ‘Friends and Rivals’, and Hollywood movies including ‘The River King’. The album also gained extensive airplay on Radio 2, Xm worldspace, Sirius, BFBS amongst others.

Autumn 2021 saw Lee’s first physical release in 10 years. ‘Dark Notions’, a collection of twisted tales and sinister moods released on 10 inch vinyl.

Lee Rogers will be on tour in the EU and US with Foy Vance in April and May 2022 to support the release of his new LP “Gameblood”, out April 15th on Zenith Café.
